Švenčionių rajono savivaldybės teritorijoje šiuo metu veiklą vykdo vos vienas kitas jaunasis verslininkas ir/ar individualia veikla besiverčiantis jaunuolis. Priežastys yra kelios: jaunimo emigracija į užsienį, migracija į didžiuosius Lietuvos miestus, aukštas nedarbo lygis, sezoninės veiklos trūkumas, informacijos apie verslo galimybes Švenčionių rajone trūkumas, neaiškios šiam regionui tinkamiausios verslo kryptys ir t.t. Dėl šių priežasčių buvo atliktas tyrimas „Jaunimo verslumo galimybės Švenčionių rajono savivaldybėje“, kuriuo buvo siekiama:
– išsiaiškinti, kokia yra jaunimo, jaunimo verslumo situacija, jaunimo verslumo skatinimo priemonės Švenčionių rajono savivaldybėje;
– išsiaiškinti jaunimo požiūrį į verslumą, jaunimo verslumo skatinimo priemones Švenčionių rajono savivaldybėje, jaunimo verslumo skatinimo priemonių poreikį Švenčionių rajono savivaldybėje(Švenčionių rajono savivaldybės teritorijoje gyvenančių jaunuolių (16-29 m.) anketinė apklausa);
– identifikuoti jaunuosius verslininkus Švenčionių rajono savivaldybėje;
– išanalizuoti jaunimo verslumo galimybes Švenčionių rajono savivaldybės teritorijoje;
– atsižvelgiant į tyrimo rezultatus, parengti metodines rekomendacijas ir pateikti pasiūlymus, kokių veiksmų reikėtų imtis, skatinant jaunimo verslumą bei didinant jaunimo verslumo galimybes Švenčionių rajono savivaldybės teritorijoje.
