On November 16, 2023, the closing event of Project No. K2-O4-IP-V-018 in the Zarasai District Municipality created a special occasion for the community to come together. This day was dedicated to reminiscing, celebrating, and sharing emotions with the project participants, past and present project coordinators, and partners.
During the event, we reminisced about the beginning of this project and shared impressions that will stay in our memories for a long time. We reviewed the project’s activities during the closing event. It was pleasing for everyone to see the achieved results and to emphasize the contribution of successful initiatives to community life during the lively gathering.
Project outcomes:
Improved knowledge of social entrepreneurship among young people.
Some school-leavers among the youth are planning to start their own businesses (using the new knowledge they acquired during the project).
A stronger bond was forged between the youth and the local community (joint events, permission obtained to create an open youth space at the Turmantas Cultural Centre).
The Zarasai District Municipality confirmed plans to provide an open youth space in Turmantas town in 2024.
We are delighted that during the project, we’ve built a strong community. This event was an opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the project in the Zarasai District Municipality. We thank all who participated and contributed to the project activities and those who shared insights and dreams with us.
